The Military March In B-Flat was written for Tchaikovsky’s nephew’s military regiment in 1893.
It was also one of the last compositions he completed before his death in November of that year.
Tchaikovsky did not score the march since he didn’t know the exact instrumentation of the regiment’s band.
This arrangement was constructed from the original piano score and is intended for concert band or wind ensemble.
